Erica Wilkins Selected as a Finalist in the 23-24 Nancy Clew Eller Flute Artist Competition

Erica Wilkins (BM flute performance) has advanced to the Finals of the Florida Flute Association’s “Nancy Clew Eller Flute Artist Competition” to be held in Orlando, Florida in January 2024 during the Florida Flute Convention.

Open to all flutists age 18 years or older, the contestants were required to submit recordings of Philippe Gaubert’s “Nocturne” from the Nocturne et Allegro Scherzando, along with a piece of their choice. The in-person final round will include the complete Gaubert, along with additional repertoire of the player’s choosing to fill out a 20-minute competition program. For the finals, Erica will perform the Gaubert, “Fanmi Imen” by Valerie Coleman, and “Washington Irving: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” from the “Ghost” Sonata No. 8 by Christopher Caliendo; she will be joined by pianist Christi Zuniga.
