On Thursday, October 19, Dr. Pete Madsen, Coordinator of Jazz Studies, was honored by the Nebraska Arts Council during their biennial awards program at the Embassy Suites in Lincoln, Nebraska.  

Madsen, pictured here with School of Music Director, Dr. Karen Fannin, was honored with the Excellence in Arts Education award.  Awards for this ceremony were commissioned by Amy Haney.
