UNO School of Music faculty Dr. Matthew Brooks, Director of Orchestral Activities in Music & Medicine, and Dr. Mary Perkinson, Associate Professor of Violin and String Education, each presented at the Eleventh Annual International Conference on Health, Wellness & Society hosted by Sorbonne Université in Paris, France. Dr. Brooks’ presentation Music Performance as a Means to Improve Wellness of Healthcare Practitioners and Dr. Perkinson’s presentation Creative Contributions during Covid-19 highlight some of the music and medicine research and initiatives they lead here at UNO and in partnership with colleagues at University of Nebraska Medical Center.
