Dr. Christine Beard, UNO’s Professor of Flute, is featured in the new project spearheaded by Erica Peel (Philadelphia Orchestra), for which 16 internationally renowned piccolo specialists were invited to contribute one original exercise or lesson to compile into a piccolo practice guide.

Beard, along with players from notable orchestras (including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, Rome Opera House, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra, Detroit Symphony, and the National Symphony), among others, authored 33 pages worth of helpful tips, exercises and advice included in the new publication entitled, “Practice With the Experts: Piccolo Edition,” published on April 15, 2020.
